Individual Counseling based in Dayton, Ohio
I offer individual counseling for adults seeking support with emotional, relational, or life-transition challenges.
Common areas of focus include:
-
Stress and anxiety are common experiences in life and are not bad in and of themselves. The challenges come when we are living in a constant elevated state of stress.
When we intentionally create a new, compassionate relationship with our stress and anxiety and learn how to navigate and regulate moments of stress and anxiety, we can find greater clarity and peace.
-
Loss, grief, and life-change can shake the foundations we’ve relied on. Everything from moving, career change, or facing the death of a loved one to relationship transition, divorce or unexpected life change can all be times where the ground feels unsteady. I see these seasons as in-between spaces, a kind of cocoon where transformation takes root.
In our work together, you’ll find a compassionate, grounded environment that helps you navigate the discomfort and uncertainty, process what’s been lost, and grow into a fuller, more connected version of yourself. Whether you’re stepping into a new chapter or finding your way after a difficult ending, I’m here to guide you as you re-discover clarity, purpose, and resilience.
-
If you’re walking through divorce, it’s normal to feel unsteady, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward. There can also be a pressure to carry it all on your own and to isolate, even when what you most need is support.
There are also many layers to divorce and everyone’s experience is personal and unique.
We can walk through these times of transition and loss with care and intentionality, one step at a time, supporting you as you move through grief, change, uncertainty, and the slow rebuilding of what life looks like.
-
Spiritual communities can be places of great healing, hope, and purpose. AND, they can also be places where misuse and abuse of power can take place. When the use of authority is abused, it can be incredibly confusing and harmful.
We can step into the impact of these dynamics and begin to sort through the complexity to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with your sense of meaning and purpose.
-
Depression can often feel like a deep, dark winter of the soul. What matters most in these seasons is learning to be present in the darkness and find companionship that can hold the darkness with you, allowing life and vitality to re-form from the inside out.
